Biog: H.H. Maharaja Thakore Shri Mahendrasinhji Lakhdhiraji Sahib Bahadur, Maharaja of Morvi. b. 1st January 1918, fifth son of H.H. Maharaja Thakore Shri Sir Lakhdhiraji Waghji alias Jilubha Sahib Bahadur, Maharaja of Morvi, GBE, KCSI, by his third wife, H.H. Sarvaijawala Maharani Bai Sahiba, daughter of Sarvaji Bawaji Ranaji, Talukdar of Ranigamand Datha. Educ. Rajkumar Coll.,. Rajkot, Bradfield, England, and St Mary’s Sch., Bombay. MSC 1938-1948 (Joint Presdt 1939-1940, Presdt 1940–1948). Succeeded on the abdication of his father, 1948. Merged his state into the Kathiawar Union, 22nd January 1948. Married at the Fort, Rajpipla, 27th January 1932, H.H. Rajpiplawala Maharani Bai Shri Mohini Devi Sahiba (b. at Nanod, d. 1993), third daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel H.H. Maharana Shri Sir Vijayasinhji Chhatrasinhji, Maharaja of Rajpipla, GBE, KCSI, by his first wife, H.H. Maharani Baiji Shri Udaya Kunverba Sahiba, daughter of Maharaj Shri Raghunath Singh, of Amleta (Ratlam State). He d. at Buckhurst Park, Ascot, Berks, 17th August 1957. Date: 18 May 1933.
