Costume: Roman dress:

"...clinging gown of pale electric blue, and [not seen] rich drapery of sappire blue, brocaded with upright clusters of gold lilies, ...fastened at each of the four corners with a dull gold acorn..." (see: The Era, 29 January 1898, p 14d). "The folds [of a drapery] are held together in front with a great brooch of gold filagree. The hair, parted down the centre, turned back over the ears in a thick coil, and twisted into a knot at the nape of the neck..." (see: The Queen, 29 January 1898, p 198b).
