(Bride) Mrs. Harold Maxwell Walker, née Marie Albreda Blanche Fitzwilliam (1878-1963); eldest daughter of Hon. Henry Wentworth Fitzwilliam; m. (1904) Captain Harold Maxwell Walker. Date: c. 4 October 1904. Occasion: The marriage, 4 October 1904, at St. George's Church, Hanover Square. Location: - Descr: FL standing. Costume: Wedding dress: "...a lovely wedding gown of ivory satin Duchesse veiled with chiffon, with square transparent yoke of fine antique Brussels lace, and a narrow piece of the same lace edging the chiffon fichu. The bodice was embroidered with ruched satin ribbon, and on the left side was a cluster of orange blossom, while the full puffed sleeves were finished with ribbon embroidery and chiffon frills. The full chiffon skirt was bordered all round with a deep flounce headed with a gathered puffing of the same material, and embroidered in a scroll design with satin ribbon, while at the hem were two full accordian chiffon frills and ruches; a classical wreath of orange leaves, finished with clusters of buds at the back, was worn with a lovely Brussels lace veil, one corner arranged on the hair, leaving the face uncovered, and the remainder falling to the hem of the trained skirt; she held a lovely Goodyear bouquet of lilies of the valley" (The Queen, 8 October 1904, p 570).
