Biog: David Clarke Bethune, 11th Earl of Lindsay was born on 18 April 1832.1 He was the son of David Ayton-Lindsay of Wormiston and Jane Emilia Ayton.He married Emily Marian Crosse, daughter of Robert Crosse, on 15 August 1866. He died on 20 March 1917 at age 84.
